So I was looking up inspiration for a new design to try and I came upon a post by Victoria at Manicurator for a v-gap manicure. Victoria's turned out extremely gorgeous! So it got the creative juices flowing. While my lines are not as perfect as I would like, for a first time trying this I think I did great :) So what is a v-gap? Exactly as it sounds, it's a v shaped manicure with a space down the center. The color combinations for this manicure are endless. I think that's what I love so much about this.
The base color is Sally Girl Pea-body, which is a light (very light) mint color. Personally I didn't like the consistency of this polish. The first coat came out very streaky. The final product was 3 coats because I felt it still wasn't dark enough. The shatter effect is by Avon's Mosaic Effect. I've gotta tell you, I've used several other shatter products and I absolutely love Avon's. The formula is great and the brush is wide enough that you don't have to dip twice and potentially screw up the effect :) So what do you think? Will you try your own version?
